Diving/Spearfishing

Head west to enjoy bountiful coastal diving out off the coasts of Westport, Karamea and Punakaiki. Enjoy crayfish diving that will have even seasonsed divers frothing, gather coastal paua and mussels from the many rocky outcrops and reefs, or have a go at offshore spearfishing for seasonal and year round species like kingfish, tuna and other pelagics in the blue water.

Our westcoast waters aren't as calm, clear or predictable as much of New Zealand so be sure to prepare for all eventualities and ensure your gear and the forecast is on point.
