We fish so know where to send you!! Fishing tips and tackle advice are just part of the service and we will give you a heads up on hot-spots so you have a good days fishing around Buller. 

The Buller region offers a diverse salt and freshwater fishery at your ready. We get snapper, gurnard, rig and other desireable table fish off the beaches almost year around, and for the boat fisher - there is much more available just offshore, with kingfish, tuna, marlin, groper, bluenose, swordfish, tarakihi, gemfish, perch and more frequently caught.

Rods and Reels, Lures, Flies, Bait

The right rod for you  from Shimano, Penn, Kilwell or OKUMA rods and reels from kids combos, to surf casters, rock rods, trout fly or spin, and big game and boat gear.

With a full range of trout lures (including Tobies, Tazmanian Devils, Rapalas and Tuna Lures) and flies and Kahawai lures, Suffix nylon, Black Magic and Wasabi hooks and tackle boxes in all sizes. We have the biggest fishing range in town including bait (long life salted). A huge range of accessories for kontiki, drone fishing, netting and flounder spearing.

Whitebait   

Coast Outdoors stocks New Zealand made whitebait nets. Purchase whitebait nets online or visit us in-store - we have a must see range of whitebaiting gear on display. Come in and view our big selection of scoop nets, frames, socks nets, and set nets. Our displays make choosing the right white bait net set up and waders easy.

English Ulstron: The Ulstron polypropylene we use is imported from England. It is 100% polypropylene so it is light to drag through the water and durable against our New Zealand rivers.

Kiwi material: This is a New zealand made material,100% polypropylene. It is very strong and durable. It weighs twice as heavy as english ulstron. Available in off white or grey colour.

Cyclomesh:  This is an aluminium mesh, painted grey. It is a 10 x 10 mesh (10 squares per inch) .45 gauge wire. Available in 900mm & 1200mm wide.

Fibreglass: Soft durable fibreglass netting. Available in 900mm & 1200mm wide. Charcoal colour.

Waders

We have a large range of waders in sizes 6 to 13, in styles to suit all - hip, waist and chest in PVC 210D or Neoprene. Backtrack, Mainlander, Snowbee and more available.
